WAYS TO MAINTAIN BRAND IMAGE OF A GROWING BUSINESS
How did Apple the magnum opus of Steve Jobs. Maintain its brand image throughout in such a way that every time something new is launched it gives most of them the feeling “The prodigal son returns”. Imagine a set of dominoes stacked up and we all know that even if one falls it produces a butterfly effect resulting in the crumbling down of most of the dominoes. The same is true for a growing business. Even, when one person fails to maintain the image created by the company the effect may be slow. But in the end, all the effort may crumble down due to inconsistency. Thus it is really important for companies to keep a few pointers in mind on how to maintain their brand image.
Decide the type of audience for each product:
From the beginning, it is essential that the founders of the Business Brand find a target audience for their product rather than leaving it for the masses. The necessities of the masses should be well researched in order to decide the perfect target audience for each product. So when that is decided the products can be further nurtured and developed. Thereby driving the company towards the ultimate goal of making products which suit the customer’s expectation. Even though Nokia was one of the first brands to release a mobile phone in India it still fell out of business as it failed to keep up with the growing needs of the population. Therefore it is very essential to know the needs of the masses and then find the audience fit for the product.
Commitment to the customers is a very important aspect which is not adhered to by many companies. This tends to tarnish their reputation and image even though their quality is top notch. When a customer arises a complaint or a query about the product it is essential that it is addressed immediately with such respect and patience that the customer has no opportunity to be left unsatisfied or disgruntled. Every customer scrutinizes a brand like a hawk for its flaws and mostly finds one about customer service.
- Maintain and update the existing brand image:
It is utter foolishness of a company to follow the same letterheads or websites or templates. As that of which were created a couple of years back or when the company first began. A brand has to evolve along with its Business Brand. Take the example of the technology giant Google. More or less every few years a simple yet evolving change is made. Its logo, websites and all to keep up with the current trend. It needs to be taken care that when a new template or logo is released by the company. All the employees are notified to follow it or there would be internal misunderstandings.
A Growing brand may face many obstacles and difficulties in its path. But if driven in the right way with right information and knowledge it may pave path to a brilliant future.
